I have a NAS on my network so I deicided to create a share on it and change my 'My Doc' to this share.When I did this it the started to syncronise my PC with this share. I let this happen but my C: just filled up. I have 100gb of music that it was tryning to sync. so now I have re-directed my 'My Docs' back to the defualt location but my C:\WINDOWS directory is still 90gb.Can someone tell me how to get this back to what it was before I moved my 'My Docs'thanks in advance If you need anymore info please ask Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cozofdeath Posted May 6, 2007 Report Share Posted May 6, 2007 Mine is 2.46G. We had another topic going about this and if I remember 90M was a normal size. But if you really need to know whats taking the space open C:\Windows and hover the mouse over folders or drag and select multiple folders to see whats filling it up. You may want to open your accessories and click on the synchronization manager to check and make sure nothing is synching. Another thing to help you see whats taking the space is on the file menu click Tools, Folder Options, click the View tab, and click "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". I would have never guessed that it was a cached synchronization folder. I learned quite a lot from that link and others it lead me to.
