In search of a Desktop Search program

Main goal: To have a task bar integrated search but I would like it to only search open documents for specific words. Exactly like the Firefox Find bar but for the desktop.

Example: I have a long help file (.chm) open and I want to search it for a specific word by typing the word into the task bar and as I'm typing its scanning the document for the word. Similar to the Vista search but for words in documents and for XP.

Not Wanted:

Opens a search web page.

Installs other unneeded programs or changes things like my default homepage.

Cannot be added to the task bar

Wanted:

Easy to use

Instant search (finds the words as your typing)

Can work with most documents

Not absolutely huge and processor intensive

I would love any comments on this. I have searched and installed to many unwanted search programs. So if anyone knows of something that can do these things please let me know.

I haven't yet. I just read it and it seems it searches for files not in files for words. Thank you for the reply though. I'm still uninstalling desktop search software which by the way I found one from Microsoft that replaces XPs search with Vistas. Everything so far either searches the web or replaces the Windows search instead of looking for a specific word in a open file. If you see any more please let me know.

google desktop search, searches most basic files (txt, doc, and so on) and got loads of addons for searching specific files...
