Guest Nellie2
I suppose it depends if you have a hot machine or not?? What temp are you running at at the moment and are you likely to get hotter?
Guest ellas
no its just cause theres a spare vent in the case for a fan and a spare 3 pin socket on the mobo to attach it to,and also the hardware monitor installed to monitor it,mainly a case of the options there shall I use it,anyone got 2 case fans. Boris
ellasWheres the existing one you've got ? High up at back ? Informed advice says that with two fans its best for the cooling airflow if you have one low at the front to suck fresh air in and the other exhausting the case higher up at the back. What temp is the cpu running at anyway - do you really need another one ??
Guest ellas
theres two at the back one high up the other which I am using near the middle, mobos about 28,cpu about 39,do I need another one not really but the options there :)
Boris
Another fan = more noise ?Personally, I wouldn't bother. My XP2000+ runs at 41/42CBecause I'm still on ME - I can still use the old WinCooler utility which reduces the Athlon temp by about 3-4 degrees C
