Persistent drive letter mapping

Hi,

I'm backing up to two 40Gb 2.5" hard drives that I encrypt using TrueCrypt, the drives are plugged in via USB and are allocated a drive letter, which I have forced using the MMC -> Disk Management to be drive Z: (both drives), then there is a batch file that runs just before the backup that automounts the TrueCrypt volume as Y: this seems to work OK... but...

The drives seem to 'forget' they are supposed to be Z: and sometimes appear as F: (the next free drive)

Is there a command I could use in a batch file so they always get the same letter?

I just can't think of it.

Thanks,

Dave
