When I click Windows Update, I.E is opening and redirecting URL to Microsoft website and its closing by it self..I tried to update through Windows Live Care and by clicking Windows Update under start menu.. both failing at the same point..Can anybody help me to solve this issue, I am using Genuine software.. provide by DELL.and recently I installed Windows Live Care..Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted June 26, 2007 Report Share Posted June 26, 2007 Welcome to the Windows Forum.Can you check two thingsopen the Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc), and see if there are any information for the time when it happened; check both Application, System, and Internet Exploreropen C:\WINDOWS\WindowsUpdate.log, go to the bottom, and see what information it shows for the time you tried WindowsUpdatePost back here what you find.Also, can you try this address instead of WindowsUpdate: http://www.update.microsoft.com/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
