kismetk
Hi!I have just discovered that a sound problem has arisen with my XP system. Sound can be heard from Media Player, the web etc, through the Creative speaker system and from headphones plugged in to the rear socket but when I open the Volume Control I get "There are no active mixer devices available. (etc)" and Sound and Audio Device Properties shows No audio device, though all the devices in the Hardware tab are shown as working properly. When I plug in my USB headphones, formerly working fine, no sound comes through them. I am using the onboard sound on an Asus A7N8X motherboard. Can you help please? Thanks! trackrat
Have you tried going into device manager, uninstalling the sound drivers and reinstalling them.If any of the drivers are corrupted this will fix them.If this does not work, post back and at least this will have eliminated one of the causes.
