XP Reinstall suggestion

Recommended Posts

Personally, I would boot from an XP CD and re-install after deleting the existing C partition, creating a new C partition in the same space, doing a quick NTFS format of C and then installing there.

Not everyone would do this in exactly the same way ........... :)

Pat

As I said "Personally I ..........."

I have probably re-installed XP about 300 times on loads of machines over the past four years.

I had a few problems arise when doing it the shorter way way in the past - but none since I changed to my slightly longer (a few minutes only) method :)
