Robert Powell
I'd like to change the default 'view' when opening any open file dialogue. The default currently seems to be the 'list' view.I'd like it to be the 'details' view sorted by modified date.I've looked all over but not been able to get an answer on it yet. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.rp. Watchful
Could you not just alter the 'View' under, Control Panel, Appearance & Themes, Folder Options and set it to apply to all folders?PS. Not the Robert Powell? Good actor :P

Watchful
Right. Try this - go to My Documents, View and change it to Details. Then go to Tools, Folder Options, View and click on 'Apply to all Folders'Next time you log on they should all open with Details view.Hope that works
Robert Powell
Thanks again but no joy - my documetns view is already wet to details - all my explorer windows open with details no problem. It's just the file open dialogues that won't conform!Robert.
