Possibly the reference to the paths within the registry may be wrong ?

Check these locations within the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\

Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\MSCONFIG.EXE

In the right pane, next to Default, it should show:

C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe

+

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\

Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\HELPCTR.exe

In the right pane, next to Default, it should show:

C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe

Both pathes works fine excepting windows says -

"`Help and Support`because a sistem service is not running.

To fix this problem start the service named `Help and Support`"

Where are this service? And how I can start them?

Thanks!

To start the Help and Support Center service and set it to Automatic.

Click Start, Run

Type in

Services.msc

OK

Find "Help and Support" and Double-click it

Set the Startup type to Automatic

Start the Service

However, - if your Help and Support service is missing from the Services.msc listing.

Download this file :-

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/reg/helpsvc.zip

Unzip the contents.

Extract helpsvc.reg to the Desktop and double-click it to merge the contents to the registry.

This should restore the Help and Support service entry.
