Sir Radfordin
Bit worrying that there is that much to fix, but there we go! If SP2 isn't even at Beta testing I doubt we'll see it anytime soon!
Scarthy © ® ™
All of the fixes you now get from Windows Update are SP2 ones...That's if you have installed SP1...I have a question about Service Packs....(because this is my first PC and I am quite new to them)...When SP2 is eventually released will it be the only SP you have to install if you reformat and reinstall Windows??? Or will you have to install SP1 before doing SP2??? If this is the case then I presume that it will be a massive file, SP1 was over 130MB...
Guest ellas
maybe I am wrong but it seems to me microsoft are releasing service packs that will only install on legit copies of xp.nothing wrong with that as long as there not leaving out fixes on purpose to encourage people to dump ther illegal copies,or am I talking rubbish
Prince of Calcutta
nah ellas i don't think they'd do that. lots of people don't even bother to update their copy of windows. mostly i think it will follow the usual format , sp1 to be installed before you can install sp2. maybe it'll come out this year end , novemberish ? :)
