Cannot connect to Internet

I received my laptop from school, but since then I've graduated. I stayed in a hotel once, and I was able to connect to the Internet using my NetBSD partition, but I could not do so through my Windows 2000 partition. I could, though, get an IP address and ping the gateway through my Windows 2000 boot. I called the hotel support, and we couldn't figure out anything. He said that it may because I may have a firewall installed, but how can I figure this out? Disabling my McAfee also did not help. There isn't anything wrong my laptop hardware because NetBSD works fine.

Any ideas?
