blueeyes
Respected Admin!I have read the "Topic Titles" in "Networking Board". I found a very nice topic that I am intrested in "Networking Fundamentals, Part 3, Sharing Windows resources".My Specifications:I am connected to a cable net service provider and the administrator provides internet facility to round about 215 computers right now. Connected each other with Switch. My Operating System is "Windows Xp Professional Service Pack 2" and sharing and recieving are perfectly alright. I have done the Windows Xp File and Printer method as you told in the topic. Unfortunately! My Problem:is My computer does not show me the option of "Permission Button" in the Sharing Tab of the Folder Properties.Reason Why Do I Need This:because whenever I share something to my friends, unexpectedly some other unknown user on my Network find that and start copying, which slow down the speed of sharing to my friends and there are no privacy on the network. So please help me out of this trouble. Thanks in advance.
ithonicfury
Open up a folder, go to Tools > Folder Options, go to the View Tab, scroll down near the bottom of that list and uncheck "Use Simple File-Sharing".
