I would like to have the whole process be done silently without any user intervention, without the user knowing anything is going on in the background. ithonicfury Posted October 3, 2007 Report Share Posted October 3, 2007 It wont really be silent, (the installer would show although you could hide the window, which sometimes doesnt work), but would require no user intervention, to set up an AutoIt script to launch and then go through the installer, and then set that up to run as part of a login script or scheduled task or something.You could try the automatic installation launcher through group policy, but I think wont be unattended, it would just launch the installer, and you'd have to make sure that it is packed in an .msi file. The application in question is Symantec Anti Virus 10.1.610 and we have the symantec console. The reason i am trying to do it this way and not through the console is because when more then say 10 machines are going through the install process, the console craps out. Is there a way around it? I certainly wouldn't!these computers are dummy computers acting as terminals.
