Krisw2k5
Hey, I know this is gonna be a bit of a simple question but just so I know, I've got Windows XP on my computer and am wanting to put XP professional on instead. Now I know you can just put the CD in and tell it to upgrade or something but I just wanted to know, if I do this, will I lose anything? -pops-
You shouldn't lose anything but it is wise to make a backup before doing any alterations.More important, I think, is why do you feel you want to do this? Assuming your current Windows version is XP Home then a change to Professional is not going to make a lot of difference to the general user and is not really worth the risk or bother of doing the change. skyline99
If you have the upgrade facility then no you wont lose data. I hate XP Home, its one crippled OS
