couling Posted October 26, 2007 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 HiI've been poking around in my computer, and pluged my main HD through an IDE-->SATA addapter (where previously it was just an IDE disk plugged into the IDE socket).Windows booted without a hitch except that in "My Computer" I noticed my C: drive appeard as both C: and G:.I turned off my pc, removed the SATA addaptor, plugged the HD back in an IDE socket and rebooted.No change except G: is now H:I've looked at the disk manager (control pannel --> administrative tools --> computer management --> disk manager),There is no mention of H:, just C:Does anyone have any ideas how to unmap this drive?Thanks for your time Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
