ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Depending on the application, there may be header or footer options in the Print panel. Some of them can specify the full path to the file location. However, I think the first thing is to organize your filing properly. Always save your documents in your 'My Documents', or an appropriate subfolder. I have all my documents back to 1995, and I have no problem finding them. Of course, a good Desktop Search tool helps (e.g. Windows Desktop Search).
andsome
Don't just click SAVE, click SAVE AS, and then as Pat says you can select a folder or drive to save to and what to save it as. You can save to plug in drives, CD or DVD, or your hard drive. The choice is yours. For example, all my downloaded programs are saved to a file called My Downloads which I created on my C drive. All my photos are dragged and dropped to a folder called digital photos into separate sub folders each numbered and named, created on my drive D. :D
