There are several ways to add shortcuts. This is the one I use...

1. Right click the start menu and select "open all users".

2. Double click the "Programs" folder.

3. From here you can enter the Thunderbird folder (double click) and "copy" (right click and select 'copy') the shortcut.

4. Then navigate back (the arrow in the top left corner of your explorer) to "Programs" and select the "Startup" folder (double click it) and "paste" the shortcut (right click and select "paste") in there.

You can drag and drop icons from the desktop in these folders but I find it better doing it this way (you get mess ups at times doing it the other).

Another way is...

1. Goto "C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" and paste the shortcut here.

You may have to change folder settings this way as some Windows folders may be hidden? <---That's another story ;)

Hope this helps ;)
