eddacker
This is a "ever seen this" post as I am not sure if it is Outlook/XP or on the Exchange Server. All of my checks so far have shown no errors or causes. My Outlook K3 user had approached our mailbox size limit on her laptop. She uses Exchange Cached Mode and an ost file; both were working fine. Because she was in the office and on a deadline (no time to sort the mailbox and delete a hundred meg of emails) I disabled cached mode so she could work and complete her project. Afterwards she reduced her mailbox to one-third its original size. I then turned cached mode back on and the ost rebuild process halts with the 'Mailbox Cleanup' window saying she is (still) over the limit. It cannot finish creating the ost file and I am forced to disable cached mode (now because there is some sort of error).Additional Info: Of my 30 or so laptop users she is the only one with this problem. Her ost file ends at the middle of last week a day or two shy of completion (about 6 months worth of email). Her mailbox is well below 50% of our limit. Her pst files are no more than 2 GB. All other systems are running fine.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
This is a very specific Outlook / Exchange Server problem that may be better addressed to the Outlook specialists at the Outlook discussion group at microsoft.public.outlook.general. There is also an NNTP version of this discussion group, but I can not give you the URL until tomorrow.
