Hi folks, I like the lighter format.

Is there a way to freeze the screen when shutting down the pc? I have an error message that goes by so fast I can't read it. It starts out with "DLL initiation........" can't catch anymore then that.

Check the Event Viewer if there is an entry for the time of the shutdown. If not, then it was probably nothing important.

I found an event with no red "x" on the log....it follows, don't have a clue what it means....DUH

In the log popup there is a ms url I can't open without getting a "internet explorer has encountered a problem and will not shut down"

Indeed; especially since it is not telling us what driver or DLL it is that cannot start.

I've seen similar things on my Windows from time to time; usually it is Dr. Watson trying to start for some reason.

I'd say, if you don't experience any negative side effects from this, just ignore it - as you are anyway about to shut down. If it bothers you, we can try to dig deeper, but actually I wouldn't know where to look for the application name that cannot start.
