Wireless and Wired Operating Simultaneously

At my office we are currently running several conference room setups with wireless video adapters from AddLogix. Basically you come in with your laptop and connect to the AddLogix as if it were a wireless router. After you are connected you can view your laptop display on the conference room large screen monitor, great for presentations and meetings etc.

The laptop must remain connected to the wireless AddLogix but of course the AddLogix is not a source of our actual network or the Internet.

I would think it is possible in Internet explorer to have a setting to ignore wireless and connect through a standard cat5 LAN connection, so items on the Internet can be accessed and displayed during a presentation.

I'm contacting AddLogix about the issue as well, but figured it wouldn't hurt to get multiple angles of input.

Hi,

It is depending on Windows route table which interface is used when application connects to internet.

It is not possible to specify it separate for different applications by normal way.

Still I think your problem has solution.

To help to solve your problem please connect laptop in both networks (wireless and cable)

and try: "ipconfig /all" and "route print" and paste both outputs here.

After it I will be able to tell you exactly what is possible to do.
