jackboy Posted December 25, 2007 Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 XP Pro SP2Following a system failure caused by I think a corrupt Zone alarm updateI am in process of re installing everything.Various Windows update- installer 3.1 for example and some associated files hang around the install update box with the message 'Cant be installed'However if I dig out the appropriate file from the MS site and download them to the desktopthey install fine.Why is that?
