Brian The Mute
I recently installed Windows Service Pack 2... before the install, I had about 11GB free space... during the install, my computer froze and I had to manually re-start. When windows started again, I only had 4GB disc space. Then I successfully installed SP2, and when I checked my disc space again I only had 2GB. So somehow, I lost 9GB... I tried deleting all the SP2 uninstall files, and that only gave me back about 1GB... so, now I'm not sure what to do...Help?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.I hope you made a full backup before the SP2 install. Restore the backup, then clean your system from any malware and unnecessary data, then retry the SP2 install again. XP-SP2 installs can have unpredictable results on infected systems.
