Is this possible?

Hey all,

I need to create a Word document which can be read by anyone with access to a server. However, I want to set it up so that I'm the only one who can alter the document. Is there any easy way of setting this up? I assume that if I specify the file as a "read only" type, someone could easily undo that.

Thanks.

Welcome to the Windows Forum.

There are several ways you can achieve that. If it's a single Word document only (or just a few), then you may try to password protect them (Tools | Options | tab Security: add a password to Modify).

Or you could protect the folder with access rights (NTFS only).
