Broadband & IE6 problem.

I have just been to a friends house who has gone on to broadband with Supanet.

The modem was set up according to the instructions provided, and it did connect but kept dropping out.

So the helpline was phoned and it was an Indian call center, the line was appalling but after doing all the checks they asked to be done he said that it would take up to ten days for the training mode to work properly and then they would notify him as to his maximum line speed.

I have never heard such rubbish in my life.

It is a Voyager USB modem, and when you click on IE it asks to dial up.

One thing I have noticed is that work offline under the file heading is ticked and if I untick it and reload IE, it is ticked again, is there ant way to disable the work offline?.

Terry has just phoned me and said he had another go on the help line and eventually as they could not diagnose the problem they cut him off.

Can anyone help, as I am at a loss what to tell him to do next.
