Toshiba laptop and W98SE

Recommended Posts

Management has a Toshiba laptop and it has on it W98SE , which is what it had when into came into the ménage, plus all the updates (unofficial SP2).

I have been trying to get it to accept and use a PCMCIA wireless card. Something is playing silly beggers (in addition to me) and so I was going to do a reformat of C: and reload W98SE. But then I realised that the W98SE in the box may not be just pure (?) W98SE. It may have been Toshiba-ised.

Does the team have any knowledge about Toshiba-isation? Was it practised or did they play fair?
