Korean Font Issue

I've installed the Korean IME and support for east asian languages. An extended that support to all programs in the language bar program, but I'm having an issue with it not actually being extended to all programs or in all places.

I'm not sure if I'm possibly missing a Korean font, or what, but in some applications its not working at all, in others its partially working. In webpages it generally works.

It seems to me that simply installing the Korean IME doesn't seem to afford the same compatibility as if you installed Korean XP. I'm tossing up some attachments that show examples. In the two game shots you can see garbeled korean in the red box and if you look in the other parts of the image you'll see it being displayed properly.

The other image is a simple installer. Which should be using default korean fonts.

Application designers usually write their applications on a Windows system that is identical to the language their application is written in. They don't bother to test it on a different environment, and the result of using such an application in a different environment will result in what you see.

It is not really an issue of fonts, or anything else you can do about it - it's entirely the developers' fault and responsibility.

However, there is one thing you can do to force the application to display Korean (or Japanese, or Chinese) characters correctly: by using NJWIN. It's not free (US$19), but it offers a 30-day free trial.
