jumpingjay
I was trying to connect my computer to my HDTV, and in the process of trying to get the screen resolution correct for the HDTV, I messed it up so badly that I can not even log in anymore. All I see is the 'shut down' option on the welcome screen (and since I have the login password protected, I have to make it past here before I can get to windows to change my resolution... Arghhhh!).Anyways, I have tried disconnecting my HDTV, and pluging the regular monitor in... no help. I took the video card out and booted the computer to see if it would reset something... nada. All I get is the welcome screen with only the 'shut down' option. And the mouse won't move off of the screen to the top, bottom, left, or right, so I can't even luck out to hit the login button. Man...Does anyone know of any way I can reset the system to a default resolution (800x600 or something similar), without logging into windows, or of some way I can skip the boot screen altogether. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
