goddi Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 Greetings, After I installed the software that came with the Windows Microsoft Lifechat Lx-3000 headset to use with Skype, I uninstalled the program. I did not like the headset nor that it puts on the MSN Messenger. After uninstalling the Messenger, the volume device that came with the head set did not work. So, my question is, my firewall keeps asking if I want a file called zclu.exe to run. It only appeared after this install/uninstall of the Lifechat headset. I can not find anything about this file. I've not been able to find anything about it either.Are you able to do a System Restore or a re-install from backup to a time before you installed this software? I changed the name to xzclu.exe and my firewall still asked if I wanted to run the file. I then changed it to zclu.exx and it stopped asking and I see no problems with Windows running at this point. I searched my nephews PC and could not find the file. So maybe it just has to do with the MSN Messenger headset program that I deleted and I just don't need it. Thanks... Even Windows Annoyances has nothing on it. Perhaps you could delete the file, then reinstall the headset and see if the file returns. Either way, I don't think I'd allow it to run.
