pawz Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 hello, apologies if this the wrong forum mods, but seems the nearest for my needs.I have a lot of 5.25 floppy disks that I need to go through and extract the writings of a chap who died a few years back. He was a professional writer and he used computers for his work from the earliest days. His widow does not want to lose his early work.I am finding it a laborious process. I use Anadisk as that can handle CP/M and DOS, which are the languages these disks are formatted in. I can dump to C: from Anadisk, but then I have to restart to open the dump up in Windows - I can't just TAB between DOS and Windows since I put Office on, though I thought I had done previous to that.When I am in Windows I can see but not read text files as discrete files if I explore the A: drive which is the 5.25 drive, so then I have to go back into MS-DOS mode to create a dump file of the floppy in Anadisk and then reboot to Windows again to read it.
