When she powered up the new computer, she got a message that just said "Locked," and she can't do anything. Do any of you know what she should do next? Maybe other forum members have seen this before?First question: is this a new computer, and if so, can your friend contact the shop where she acquired it? Or is it a second-hand computer, and can you or your friend contact the person who sold it?Next: when you turn on the computer, can you try to go into BIOS setup? Most Toshiba machines use the ESC key, pressed immediately after turning on the computer. Some Toshiba models use the F1 key to go into BIOS setup. Once you've entered BIOS setup, you may find some information or method to turn off the 'locked' condition.P.S.
