papatooth Posted March 7, 2008 Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 ok so all my file folders keeps locking up when i click on them, they hour glass then i have to task manager and end process on the folders. this then make all my desktop icons vanish for about 5 seconds then reappear. this happens over and over. any ideas?? You click on the left pane, or the right one? If you wait long enough, does it eventually open?Is this something that started recently, or did it always happen this way?What is your malware protection on your system? y2khardtop Posted March 18, 2008 Report Share Posted March 18, 2008 I would uninstall Internet Explorer in the windows ccomponent installer, then reinstall it. y2khardtop Posted March 19, 2008 Report Share Posted March 19, 2008 if you uninstall and reinstall IE (NOT IE7, but the one that comes preinstalled), it will replace/repair many of the Explorer files.
