jam
Hi.I'm new to Windows DNS. I have a Forward lookup zone under DNS called company.local. Within this zone i have A records that relate to a range on a 10.0.x range. All of these entries i can resolve... Under this zone i have savvy.company.local on a 172.1.x none of which i can resolve..... From a desktop PC using this domain controller as my DNS server should i not be able to resolve a records on this zone? Thanks,J.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum. Not quite sure what you mean with "resolve". But anyway, it may be a problem with your firewall; have you made sure that the 172.* IP range (usually 172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255) is not blocked?
