Lamb Chop
Checking I had all needed on Microsoft I found that I had a failed patch on this new computer. It is KB942840.I did have a way of getting these but lost it when I lost my bookmarks - darn it.I have tried every which way to get it - I find MS is a bit of a maze for me and get lost often, but I did find MS support only to be told that I cant get free advice as my computer is manufacturer supported!!For a ms patch - get real Can anyone direct me?Also I lost my little Microsoft Time Zone thing which told me the time in Windsor so I don't wake up the house of sleeping relatives at 2 am there as we are 11 hours ahead. By next week 10 hours as coming off daylight saving as going into winter. Cant find that anywhere wither because I didnt remember the name and you have to name it seemingly .sigh.... Lamb Chop
Thanks Pat. Am I sure I need this Patch - No.I am on auto downloads with this computer as it seems to have no problems and it said it had tried but failed so then I think - Oh I must need it. Just popped off on another tab and had a look. Thanks Pat for that qualification as I dont need it - it is for IE6 and I no longer have that. Started off 11th march downloading heaps of patches that the computer at Microsoft said I needed and this one came before it installed IE7,So I take it that I dont need it. Anyway now I know where to go - thanks to you. Any luck on the Time zone thingy that sits on the task bar and you can click onto it for your time zone locations anyone? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Found two things called Microsoft Time Zone:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...86-fe7274f6e4d8http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...29-6f0258ac7cdfI don't know what's the difference; both are 780KB, so maybe it's the same. Both also require .NET Framework 1.
