scobbie Posted April 11, 2008 Report Share Posted April 11, 2008 I have a sony vaio VGN-C1Z/B laptop and there is a problem with the USB ports i think. When i try to connect various hard drives or memory sticks they dont seem to regester with the computer.I bought a maxtor hard drive when i attached it to my laptop i had a message asking me to install the software CD.The hard drive doesn't come with a CD, so the next message is software not found. your hardware might not work properly. If you are using XP, you may still need a chipset driver. Contact the manufacturer or visit their website for this driver.Unfortunately the model number you provide does not appear to be valid, so this is as far as I can link for you.
