USB PROBLEMS

Recommended Posts

I have a sony vaio VGN-C1Z/B laptop and there is a problem with the USB ports i think.

When i try to connect various hard drives or memory sticks they dont seem to regester with the computer.

I bought a maxtor hard drive when i attached it to my laptop i had a message asking me to install the software CD.

The hard drive doesn't come with a CD, so the next message is software not found. your hardware might not work properly. I have the same problem everytime i try to connect to my USB .

Please help.

Windows XP and above do not need drivers for USB devices. However, some older versions of Windows do. If you are using XP, you may still need a chipset driver. Contact the manufacturer or visit their website for this driver.

Unfortunately the model number you provide does not appear to be valid, so this is as far as I can link for you. You will need to enter the correct model number to receive the next page.
