I was goin along mindin my own buisness watchin videos on stumbleupon when i came across a video showing you how to cheat on flash games.I figured wow thats kinda cool (i could maybe impress some friends with this).so i did what it said and i downloaded and installed the tamper data add-on for firefox then i went to the site that was on the videoEverything worked as shown in the video! I was amazed so i figured i would try again but this time make my score huge, but this time i didnt even get to play the game and firefox froze up.When firefox froze up the "end task" dialogue came up so i clicked it and firefox closed.Next i tried to open firefox again but when i clicked the icon nothing would happen. It seemed like everything else was working fine, so i decided to restart my computer and see if firefox would start working again.When i restarted my computer it would get as far as the password screen and immediatly restart agian for no reasonAfter trying this a few times i realized it wasnt going to start so i tried recovery mode on the next restart.Recovery mode started up and it said there was problems with my startup files and asked me if i wanted to repair and restart so i clicked it.When it restarted it did the same thing it had been doing, so i figured i must have done something wrong and i tried to do recovery mode again.This time when i chose recovery mode it started up the same way it does when i click normal startup and it immediatly restarts again (so right now i cant even start recovery mode)please can somebody help!! i promise you im never going to try to cheat on a flash game again! Ubuntu (normal)2. Ubuntu (recovery mode)3. Windows Vista (normal)4. Windows Vista (recovery mode)but when i boot into normal mode for vista it just gets to the login screen and immediatly restartsthe first time i booted into recovery mode it seened to work (it said theres something wrong with the startup files or something and asked me if i would like to repair and restart, so i did.but it didnt work (everythings the same)so i tried recover mode agian but now recover mode starts up the same way as normal mode and gets to the login screen and immediatly restartsi did however just find my vista cd that came with my computer, so is there a way i can repair the startup problems without reformating everything? tjwoosta Posted April 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 ok well i figured out how to start in safe mode and it didnt make a difference, it still restarts before i even get to a login screenalso i did a system restore and restored it to last week and it still made no differencei am thinking about just doing a reformat and reinstall but first i need to know is this going to install onto only the partition that windows is on now or is it goin to completely wipe my harddrive (including ubuntu)?also would i need to find and install all the drivers for my hardware (like wireless card) or would this all be on the vista cd? by the way, the vista cd im talking about is the one that came with the computer and is marked Gateway Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
