tizza2k Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 windows xpre installed a newer version of avg 2008 didnt i...off a torrentthink its caused a viruswell i know it hascant restore back to earliar date,even in safe modecant start with last known good configuration...commy loads up as usual ( if not abit slow )desktop comes onthen flashes off again just leaving the wallpaper back groundall icons go aswell as the start menuthe windows key doesnt do anything..tried checking out task bar, nothing in there tha looks dodgy...you can get on firefox, msn etc aslong as you double click the icon BEFORE they vanish...i cant right click on the desktop and after a few minutes everything vanishes and doesnt re appear..ive managed to install registry scripts off a site that restores the icons and start menu for a few seconds at a timethen they go back off againanyone know wa i can do apart from re format cos aint got the cd? Is it up-to-date? tizza2k Posted April 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 16, 2008 used spyhunter , it found 7 problems but ive got to friggin register to remove themwas using avg untill i expired...also cclean every other day and use ad aware...tried housecall but nothing has changed...??
