tryby
Hello,I have an AMT Athlon XP 1800+ processor on a ASUS A7V600-X mobo with 768 ddr1 pc3200 at 400 mhz, and a video card Gigabyte ATI Radeon 9600 pro.On windows xp i had some problems with my video card on the 8x bus speed , but i lowered it down in smartgart option in catalyst to 4x and everything was ok.Now i installed vista and this OS detects my video card at 8x. I tried with catalyst, powerstrip, atitool, i even changed the bus speed in BIOS but in vista it is 8x.At the 8x bus speed, my system is very unstable, and in windows it gives me blue screens everytime i want to play something, or i want to activate aero, or watching an flash aplication. I can`t do anything on it ...How can i change my AGP bus speed setting from 8x at 4x.Thanks a lot.P.S: Sorry for my bad english.
Alan2273
Is there an option in the BIOS under the Advanced heading to lock the AGP slot to 4X.I am surprised that you can get Vista to run at an acceptable speed with your configuration.
