Preventing AIM and other programs from bringing windows out of stand b

Recommended Posts

A few seconds after I but my system to sleep, AOL Instant Messenger wakes it up. Even if I have AIM closed, it opens it's self as well as an IE window. This - of course - wakes the system up.

Isn't there some way to control what programs you'll allow to take things over? I've searched though AIM's setting and I can't find a thing that would have anything to do with this behavior.

Thanks
