geordie_john Posted April 26, 2008 Report Share Posted April 26, 2008 hello my tower pc shows a black screen on bootup and just sits there without starting windows,i got over this problem last night by hitting f8 and doing debug mode but it will not work tonight,i did get a blue screen but that goes no further,i am running with windows xp service pack3,any ideas please as i have tried debug,last known config and safe mode with networking to no avail?thank you. Could you possibly uninstall it by using Safe Mode?Pat Willener has posted an excellent guide of the suggested steps to take before installing SP3.It is well worth studying it before accepting the 'upgrade'.
