eldwardo
Hello,I am simply trying to share a folder from my documents (my pictures folder) with other users that I have set up with administrative level security. For some reason, I can view their documents, but they can not view mine. I've tried doing the shared folders thing, but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? Thanks. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.I assume that the other users are on the same network. If you set up a shared folder, then the other users should be able to access it. What happens if they try?
eldwardo
Hi Pat,Yeah, the funny thing is that I am not talking about networking with multiple computers. Simply, I log in to my computer and throw pics in My Pictures, then later my wife will log in (at the same computer) as a separate user with administrative level security, but can not access my documents. I can see all of her documents from my login, but she can't access mine. I can't remember the exact error off the top of my head, something about lack of priviledges, something like that. I can look later tonight.Thoughts?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Have you actually given the other users permission to access that folder? If so, how have you done that.If I were do share a folder with other users (on the same computer, or on a network), I would right-click on it, then 'Sharing and Security'.
