SLeeZeCoRe
I'm well aware how to slave a PSU to drive the HDDs and Opticals etc, but I'm wondering if you can cross the rails to boost your graphics in Crossfire. Each card will need a 6pin connector, the adapter for this needs TWO molex connectors. So can 1 molex come from the master PSU (mobo power) and 1 from the slave PSU.And then again on the second gfx card (money permitting )Looike this...I have a 500watt for the master, and a 250watt for the slave. I want a ATI HD3850 (or 3870 if I scrimp some more) which my master should be able to deal with on its own, but if I get a second card it'll be straining alot. D23
Best not to use adaptors at all... couldn't you scrimp a little more for one PSU you know is designed for the job? Try here: http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex_components.aspx?p=3 Must admit I've never seen a PC with two kettle leads coming out of it ;)
