Shine Design Posted May 15, 2008 Report Share Posted May 15, 2008 Hey all,I have a WinXP Pro machine that is serving an old DOS program which opens full screen. It worked fine over XP SP2, however after updating to SP3 it started giving an error that it could not initialize the fullscreen mode. Found out that SP3 Terminal services has an issue with running fullscreen DOS apps, so I uninstalled SP3. Now it's still giving the same error. I tried using VNC instead, which is in fact running the app, but it doesn't appear as such on the client machine. The server shows the app maximized, but the client still see's the server's desktop with the DOS app in the taskbar. Any ideas on how I can either get Remote Desktop or VNC to actually -show- the maximized DOS program on the client? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
homecomputeraid Posted May 19, 2008 Report Share Posted May 19, 2008 Hello Shine Design,I don't see many options regarding the handling of DOS windows in Remote Desktop, and I'm not very familiar with VNC.I hope you don't end up having to rebuild the XP machine.
