rnsty
Hey there guys. I just bought vista ult 64 bit and installed it on my hardrive. So I copied files over from windowsold folder(which was vista 32 bit) and now when I hit the task manager some programs have a *32 next to it. example EverquestII.exe*32. Does this mean because I copied the files over from my 32bit folder that the program isnt running as fast as it could be with the new 64bit version? Also in my bios it shows i have 4096mb of ram, but in system in control panel it shows I only have 2431mb of ram! Ive looked everywhere in my bios to see if maybe I could mess with my RAM but the only RAM option I have is just to view the amount. I know each individual stick works and is 1024mb(I single channeled and all read at 1024). so what gives? some where down the line I lose 1665mb of RAM? Scarecrow Man
32-bit vs 64-bit:Unless the program has been written to run on a 64-bit environment, it will run in 32-bit. 64-bit is backwards compatible with 32-bit and you will not have any drops in speed because of this.RAM:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605/en-us
