bobbymcgee
Hey,I have a problem. Everytime I visit a new web site, weather it it's a new domain (http://fakesite.com) or a sub site (http://fakesite.com/1 or http://fakesite.com/2) it blocks it, and on the broser this message appears:Insecure Internet activity. Threat of virus attackDue to insecure Internet browsing your PC can easily get infected with viruses, worms and trojans without your knowledge, and that can lead to system slowdown, freezes and crashes. Also insecure Internet activity can result in revealing your personal information. To get full advanced real-time protection for PC and Internet activity, register KvmSecure. We recommend you to protect your PC now and continue safe Internet browsing. Click here to get full advanced real-time protection and continue browsing. Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended). When I click on "Click here to get full advanced real-time protection and continue browsing. " it takes me to "http://antivirus-2008pro.com/buy.php?aff=browser_block" and wants me to buy an Anti-Virus (which I already have). And when I click on "Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended)."it does nothing. If anyone know how to turn this off, or how to make the "Continue to this website unprotected (not recommended)." work, that'd be great. Thanks,Kyle OP.S. : Altered Soul is a tool. Maybe that will help. if not you might want o look for that URL in your registry and delete it. (back up your registry before deleting anything by mistake). You could use Hijackthis program to check your registry download it here:http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html
Dencandy
Welcome to the forum bobbymcgee. Unfortunately you are the victim of the rogue anti-spyware Antivirus2008. Do not go to the site. You browser has been hijacked by that site already & the following site tells you how to remove it: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antivirus2008.html Or you can use Windows Defender.Never, ever click on any of these pop-ups that you have not asked for. Many of us on this forum use McAfee SiteAdvisor to warn about sites that try to foist these nasties on us. There's a free version available here: http://www.siteadvisor.com/ After you've evicted the browser hi-jacker you can set your home pages in concrete using Lavasoft's AdAware Free (HERE) - go to Settings to do it. Ad-Aware will also help protect you from other malware.Spend some time learning about viruses and other nasty things by browsing through our forums and using your search engine (after you've installed McAfee SiteAdvisor).Come back if you have any more questions. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
It's not an anti-virus site; it's a malware site, posing as "anti-virus".
