kumarrana Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 This is my first time in this forum. Hope I am in right spot. I have just installed VMware on top of XP as an administrator. Other users are needed to authenticate from active directory to access. Combination of the all three work fine for administrator but not for other user, Ubantu disappears. I have two partition of the disk. C where all system and other files resides and D where only VMware resides. Can anybody tell me how to set up so other user can also access Ubantu. Scarecrow Man Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 They are probably unable to see the shortcut to VMWare because the shortcut was installed on Administrators desktop, and not everyone else's desktop.You may need to create a shortcut on the users desktop, or place one in the All Users folder. Warning says "Unable to add virtual machine "E:\Ubuntu\Ubuntu.vmx" to the inventory: Virtual machine is already in the inventory. Anybody has any idea?
