dhlair
I've tried all over, Lexmark Support, Dell Support, and no favorable results. To make it a short story, I had the Lexmark X2500 installed and working fine on one system. Sold it and then installed the printer on a newer PC which originally used and HP printer which I uninstalled. Went through the installation process with the Lexmark Installation CD, uninstalled, reinstalled, tried drivers from the Lexmark site, checked the Device Manager (all OK), etc., etc., and the only reaction I get when trying to print is the small "print image" appearing on the task bar at the right bottom for a second, and then disappearing with no reaction at all. The printer works, as it performs it's self-test A-OK. Seems something is blocking ability to react. Maybe something lrft over in the system from the HP printer causing it? No one seems to know, so I guess I'll give you all a try at it! Hope someone can help. Thanks all.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.Have you checked the Event Viewer if there is any entry in there (Applications)?Start -> Settings -> Printers (or via Control Panel); can you see the printer? Is there a troubleshooter? Anything to print a test page?Is there any troubleshooting software on the Lexmark CD or website? Is there a newer driver on the Lexmark site? And just to ask one more question: what Windows version are you using?
andsome
You could try Start/Search, then type in ther reference for the uninstalled printer, such as HP blah blah etc, and see if any files show. If so delete these. Also run C Cleaner and see if that will tidy things up. :D

The rest have all been tried with negative results. Let's see what the viewer says. Thanks
