samgreen
I started my laptop with my phone plugged into a USB port, which caused the computer to not start up properly, so I restarted it with nothing plugged in. I don't know if having my phone plugged in affected it in any ways, but after restarting the laptop went to Startup Repair, and now seems to be stuck in a loop of restarting into startup repair, over and over again and will not start up into Windows properly at all. I have tried system restore to the furthest back date i can manage (5 July 2008), but still nothing changes - it remains in this loop of Startup 'Repair'. I have all the latest Windows Updates etc, and am running Vista Home Premium.I get this error message from Startup Repair:"Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically"Then under the 'details' section I have:"Problem event name: StartuprepairV2Problem Signature 01: AutofailoverProblem Signature 02: 6.0.6000.16386.0.0.0.0Problem Signature 03: 0Problem Signature 04: 65537Problem Signature 05: unknownProblem Signature 06: OsVersionMismatchProblem Signature 07: 0Problem Signature 08: 0Problem Signature 09: unknownProblem Signature 10: 1168OS version: 6.0.6000.0.0.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033"If anyone can help it'd be much appreciated, as my latest dissertation and research info is on there, and I need it pretty soon :sthankssam
