alanry Posted July 16, 2008 Report Share Posted July 16, 2008 Hello, allI have a bizarre problem with Hibernate. When I select Hibernate, my computer proceeds to Hibernate as it should. After about 5 minutes, the computer restarts without any intervention from me!! If I use Standby, that works perfectly, and I have no problems with a full shutdown and/or restart. It`s nothing major. However, I did not have this problem when the automatically updating software was installed. It has all worked fine until a few weeks ago. I have had this configuration for some time without any problem. I`ve not made any changes to the OS since I`ve had my computer. I have had my computer for 5 years Now(Sounds Ancient!!) I have upgraded the hardware over this time but this problem has started only recently, and is not related to any hardware changes I have made. So, I`m stumped!!
