ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Welcome to the Windows Forum.Have you tried Start -> Settings -> Network Connection? Also check that your network adapter works correctly (Device Manager).
y2khardtop
I agree, sounds like your network card's drivers' aren't installed. Install them, and you should be able to connect. Device manager should list them with yellow warnings.
Ricky
I have checked network manager and under LAN or High-Speed Internet it says "local area connection" and it says network cable unplugged and "1394 net adapter" that one says connected. I was running Ubuntu (linux) before i installed windows again and i did not have to install drivers or anything when i installed ubuntu. and i checked device manager and there is nothing highlighted there. And under network adapter there is 2 things 1."realtek rtl8139 family pci fast ethernet nic" and 2."1394 net adapter" which one is my wireless adapter? i am trying to get updated drivers for both of them to see if that will fix it but the thing is that i dont have the icon in the panel at the bottom right of the screen and i do not know how to creat a new wireless connection. Thanks, Ricky
Boris
And under network adapter there is 2 things 1."realtek rtl8139 family pci fast ethernet nic" and 2."1394 net adapter" which one is my wireless adapter?Neither of these are for a wireless connection.Look under Device Manager for any device with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark - and post back. What make/model is your laptop ?
