rohit
I am attempting to install xp on my XPS 630i, but ran into an issue along the way. After running the install CD, xp goes to a BSOD before it boots. I am assuming that this is because the chipset isnt supported by xp. Problem is, i cant find anything anywhere telling me how to get the 650i chipset to be picked up by xp on install. Anyone know where I need to go? Anyone have a possible solution? It would be much appreciated.thanksRohit
Scarecrow Man
Your best place to start would be http://support.dell.com. Next, what is the error code on the blue screen? It's usually 0x00000000, but obviously not all 0's. They will be filled in with numbers or letters like 0x000000C6Try this - My Computer shows a Blue Screen error
ced
you could slipstream all the needed drivers in the installation CD.i had this with my laptop, i used NLite for it, and it worked out fine.just make sure you have the drivers ready.good luck with it! ced
